I challenged myself to design and fabricate a bookshelf in an afternoon to get my books off the floor. The Slant was the result of my efforts. When populated, the books lean against each other by design making book ends unnecessary. The shelf also flat-packs for ease of shipping and moving. It is made entirely from sustainable bamboo plywood. It was modeled in SolidWorks and fabricated using an OMAX waterjet and a hand drill over the course of 5 hours on a Sunday afternoon in 2007.
