Mitchell Heinrich is a designer based in San Francisco, Ca. His work in the area of product design and development has led to a series of novel human power generators, lighting products and aerospace components for high altitude wind power generation. His unique design perspective infuses cutting edge technologies including new materials and processes into concepts that are grounded and executable. His approach is centered around deep understanding of user needs, minimal and refined aesthetics, a desire for simplicity, all while geared toward realistic and affordable manufacturing processes.
Mitchell's experiences growing up the son of a shop teacher/craftsman and primary school educator taught him both the hard and soft skills that make him a well rounded designer and storyteller. He takes particular interest in the designer's role as it relates to implementing renewable and sustainable technologies. Often unhappy with what is pre-packaged and mass produced, Mitchell sees the objects and the world around him as malleable and works to make it a better designed and more comfortable place.
